Long Weekend BABY!

Not sure if I'll have time to post tomorrow so I'll do it today....because I'm SO excited about the long weekend! Woo-hoo!!

We're going camping to an actual campsite and not just "up to the land" where there's a pool, and a river, and actual campers ;) There's a few of us going (approx 8 of us...I think) so should be lots of fun! And the weather is supposed to be nice too...another bonus.

On Saturday we'll leave for a little while, to go attend my Family Picnic at my Aunt's Trailer. I've never been so that should be an adventure.

What else....tonight I'll be heading out to Kristen's ball hockey game. They lost 2-1 on Tuesday but it was a GREAT game, except for all the fighting in the 3rd period, stupid boys and all the testosterone.

And to finish...I'M SORRY for not posting pictures lately I have over 100 pics on my camera to download but due to a virus on the computer at home I don't want to take a chance on downloading them and end up losing them. Hopefully sooner than later everything will be up & running and you'll be bombarded with lots of happy kodak moments :)

Happy Canada Day!

Steamin' Hot Tuesday

"The impulses that make a fool or worse of us in certain circumstances may be necessary for our happiness." -- Gertrude Atherton
I am probably one of the few people LOVING the heat that we're having right now. Today is supposed to go up to 34 plus humidity which will make it STEAMIN' HOT....I probably wouldn't feel this way if I had to work in it, but being in a freezing office definitely makes the weather outside enjoyable.
Didn't do a whole lot last night...went for a walk and was finally able to get some time on Facebook. I've been suffering withdrawl since we have a computer virus and haven't been able to use the internet at home. It's still limited access but better than nothing.
Tonight I'll go to ball hockey...haven't been in a couple of weeks now so should be fun to get out and watch the boys play. Plus another excuse to be outside and enjoy the heat.
Anyway....not much to say today....Happy Tuesday!

"To be alive at all involves some risk." -- Harold MacMillan
Weekend in Review:
I haven't actually done a normal post in quite a while. A lots been going on in life lately both good and bad so I'm only now just starting to get all my thoughts back to normal. I guess life does that sometimes, just throws you for a curve ball. Probably the reason why most of my posts lately are just quotes for the day.
Didn't do too much this weekend, Kristens brother came to visit but only for a night. Him and his friend flew into Toronto from Halifax on Saturday to go to a Tool Concert in Hamilton yesterday to sleep in the airport overnight and fly back to Halifax from Hamilton 7am this morning...I actually thought it was awesome that they did this. Cause really...why not? They're young, they were going to an after party after the concert anyway.....and it's a great story to tell the grandkids when they're old & grey :) Either way it was GREAT seeing him cause he's just so sweet and cute! He's like a little brother to me, I can say that!
Also want to say congrats to Stephanie and Cory McKenzie on the birth of their little one :)
Happy Monday!

Milton Farmers Market

The last few Saturdays Kristen and I have been getting up to go to a few garage sales, and then heading over to the Milton Farmers Market. I don't have pictures of the actual market but of some of the buildings that caught my eye when we were there. I love the old buildings. A co-worker of mine told me the market gets bigger as the summer goes on.

Music Week in Christa's World

Every now and then I get on a kick of downloading music,...here's another song I've been really liking lately...bugs me that Fergie sings alphabet songs when she has so much talent.....

Fergie -Big Girls Don't Cry

Da Da Da Da
The smell of your skin lingers on me, now
You're probably on your flight back to your hometown
I need some shelter of my own protection baby
Be with myself in center, clarity, peace, serenity

I hope you know,
I hope you know
That this has nothing to do with you
It's personal, myself and I
We got some straightening out to do
And I'm gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket
But I've gotta get a move on with my life
It's time to be a big girl now
And big girls don't cry
Don't cry, Don't cry, Don't cry

The path that I'm walking, I must go alone
I must take the baby steps till I'm full grown, full grown
Fairy tales don't always have a happy ending, do they?
And I forsee the dark ahead if I stay
I hope you know, I hope you know
That this has nothing to do with you
It's personal, myself and I
We got some straightening out to do
And I'm gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket

But I've gotta get a move on with my life
It's time to be a big girl now
And big girls don't cry
Like a little school mate in the school yard
We'll play jacks and UNO cards
I'll be your best friend And you'll be mine, valentine
Yes you can hold my hand if you want to'cause I wanna hold yours too
We'll be playmates and lovers and share our secret worlds
But it's time for me to go home
It's getting late, dark outside
I need to be with myself in center, clarity, peace, serenity yeah

I hope you know, I hope you know
That this has nothing to do with you
It's personal, myself and I
We got some straightening out to do
And I'm gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket
But I've gotta get a move on with my life
It's time to be a big girl now
And big girls don't cry
Don't cry, Don't cry, Don't cry
da da da da da da

Believe

It's much cooler today and very gloomy and wet. So my mood today is very mellow...thought I'd share some pictures of a rain storm we had a couple of weeks ago.

And I'd like to share the lyrics of the song "Believe" by Suzie McNeil...I am LOVING it! I think it's my current favourite song:

One minute's fading

One minute's past

But I've got this moment

To make it all last

I'm standing before you

Taking my chance on

Everything I never thought that I could be

Cuz you can do almost anything

If you just believe

You can move mountains with dreams

The higher you climb

The better it gets

Cuz you will see things

You'll never forget

If you just believe

It's like I'm falling through my own fears

They used to haunt me, but now they're not here

There's no looking back, my future is clear

No giving up

And I'm holding on when it gets rough

Cuz you can get through most anything

If you just believe

You can move mountains with dreams

The higher you climb

The better it gets

Cuz you will see things

You'll never forget

If you just believe

No one says it's easy

And no one says you have to be perfect

But as long as you try

You're always gonna find

It was worth it

If you just believe

You can move mountains with dreams

The higher you climb

The better it gets

Cuz you will see things

You'll never forget

If you just believe

You can move mountains with dreams

If you just believe

You can move mountains with dreams

Trial & Error

Sarah does the CUTEST pout of her bottom lip so with Mommy's permission I was trying to capture it on camera when they came to visit on Saturday....

Don't think it really worked but isn't Baby Sarah just ADORABLE?!?!?
Then I was taking pictures of our guests and Kristen and he saw me do something and said "well...it looks like you want me to take a picture of you..." I said it would be nice since I'm always the photographer so it's like I don't exist....and this is what we get....and this is why I am the photographer!!!

Happy Monday :)
