Black and White Wedding Photos

And now for the black and whites....my fav's of all the pictures!
The bridal party at the ceremony
After the ceremony, I love this pose
Us posing behind the cake that my Mother insisted that I have...I'm glad she bought it now :)
Cutting the yummy cake
This wasn't supposed to be "blurred" but I love it anyway
Another unintentional pose...Kristen was asked to give me a kiss and he did but behind his hand so nobody would see. I think this is my FAVOURITE pose of all but unfortunately Kristen's face is partially hidden so it won't be the one that we send out to everyone.
The hitch-hiking...like the rubber boots weren't my idea but went along with it anyway and boy am I happy I did. Again, amongst some of the favourites :)

Flavoured Creamer

If you drink coffee you might be familiar with the flavoured coffee creamer you can buy.
Well take it from me, do not buy FAT FREE. I did that the other day, didn't really think too much of it as I buy a lot of things fat free.
Until I made myself a coffee and had to add about 3 times the amount of creamer that I normally would to get my desired creaminess...
which totally DEFEATS the whole purpose of fat free...does it not?
Anyway, that's my tidbit for the day. Have a happy Friday, a great weekend, and while enjoying your full fat cup of coffee, think of me :)

Thirsty Thursday.....

....as Kristen calls it, if you've had a hectic day like me...then tonight go ahead take some time to sit on the front porch or relax in the backyard and sip on your favourite drink. Whether it be a hot chocolate with baileys, white wine, or a good 'ol ice cold beer.
Enjoy!

9 Years....

Today we celebrate our 9 year anniversary...yep that's right...almost a decade.
We're not going to do anything to celebrate today as we're going to Nfld between now and the end of Sept (can't give anymore details than that because we haven't told our families the exact date) so we'll just do something while we're there.
I read this quote the other day and I immediately thought of Kristen:
"It is in his pleasure that a man really lives; it is from his leisure that he constructs the true fabric of self" - Agnes Repplier
That's so true for him, he is the person that he spends all his leisure time doing....if that makes sense at all. He's a hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman, sportsman....it's all these things of what he does, that make him who he is.
Last night I was reading one of his Men's Journal magazines and the letter from the editor was talking about how leisure activites contribute to a better well rounded man rather than the old mentalities that the leisure activities were to ONLY escape family life and so on. I actually agree with both statements...that his leisure activities are an escape...but who doesn't need that alone time, some space to think, and just clear the mind? It does in turn, make you a better person when go back to the hectic job or family life feeling refreshed and happy.
Kristen is a wonderful person whom I'm very lucky to have as a significant other. He takes good care of me, he's supportive of the quirky personality that I am, he's a great family man who loves kids, always has time for a friend in need, and simply...he makes me happy :)
Happy Anniversary Kristen

Friday Flowers

It was a short week but a good week (especially on the work front)....have a few birthday parties to attend this weekend, one being a very important one as it'll be Tristan's FIRST birthday! Will post pics on Monday :)
Otherwise, just hoping to run some errands and get the starter on my car fixed (that's a whole other story that I'm not pleasant enough to talk about)
So...anyway....here are the remaining pics from last weekends camping excursion. Nanny Betty (Kristen's grandmother) LOVES her flowers and would be devestated to see how her garden has dwindled since moving back to Nfld. However, she would be very proud to see how some still managed to bloom and flourish despite her much needed TLC

Happy Friday and have a GREAT weeeknd!

Boys & Their Toys

It's a 1985 Honda called BIG RED....and still runs pretty good. She's permenantly parked up on "the Land" and very seldom get's used due to rowdy people being in attendance. However this past weekend, since there was such a small crew of us Kristen decided to take the 'ol girl for a spin.
And the love for the toys starts out VERY young...as soon as the boys would start them up little Tristan's head would whip around so quickly to see where they were and where they were going. Kristen took him for a ride and Tristan absolutely LOVED it!
Corey's Kodak Moment :)
And she "big red" even worked a bit too, Kristen was using her to bring wood to the fire, a whole 20 feet maybe...ha ha ha. Any excuse for a ride.

Sunday morning while packing up to go, Tristan was being a bit fussy. Steph didn't know what to do to get him to settle down for his nap. So I suggested Kristen take him for a ride while Steph finished packing up her gear so she could give her full attention to Tristan.
Here's what we ended up with....poor thing was exhaused

Civic Long Weekend

It was a great long weekend, Friday I had the day off work, so I ran some errands, then headed to Flesherton with Kristen, Vicky, Stephanie, Tristan, and Corey for some camping. The weather was great, it was very relaxing and had a good time. I have a TONNE of pictures so I'll post them throughout the week, here's today's post of pics :)
If Tristan could talk here, he would be giving Kristen heck for taking pictures in the dark and the bright flash "blinding" him.....LOL

Tristan in his camo gear...how cute!

Steph & I

We're cracking up laughing here cause Corey just took a picture of my legs by accident...his superb photography skills apparently

Kristen just "chillin"

The awesome fire :)

And a pregnant Vicky, can you see her belly? So cute :)

I'll finish up with a thought for the day:
