Yep, it's a clothesline.

I remember as a teenager helping mom with laundry. I wasn't a big fan "taking in the clothes" cause it usually meant there were spiders or bees lurking. But shaking the clothes before throwing it in the basket is now one of my talents :)

It used to be a by-law that it was un-appealing to have a clothesline. This spring however, Ontario had outlawed the by-law meaning Ontario residents are now permitted to have one to be more environmentally friendly.

I must say I really like ours. The clothes dried just as fast or faster than using the dryer and had that "fresh air" smell...Mmm!
We're taking baby steps but we're getting there.
